| Management and development projects STREAMBANKS
Various human activities involving intensified land drainage and soil sealing modify the hydrology of watercourses and create streambank erosion problems. These phenomena result in gradual deterioration of watercourses.
Most of our solutions are based on vegetation engineering techniques, which are perfectly suited for stabilizing streambanks in a way that respects the surrounding environment. All of the vegetation species used for our projects are native to Québec, and most are typical of the local flora within the drainage basin. In certain extreme cases, where the erosive forces are too strong for vegetation alone, we opt for a combination of vegetation engineering and mechanical engineering techniques. In addition to executing the project, our staff will be pleased to assist you in applying for the requisite certificates and having them validated with the authorities concerned. ![]() Take a look at our explanatory leaflet on "Vegetation engineering: Streambank stabilization using living materials".
